One of the leading online casino and sports betting companies in the United States has entered the Canadian market after Rush Interactive, Inc announced that their platform, BetRivers, would launch a social gaming platform in a bid to become one of the best Ontario casino sites later this year.
The platform, called CASINO4FUN, allows players in the province to sign up and offers free-to-play online casino and sportsbook betting options to anyone over the age of 19, according to StreetInsider.com.
There are over 350 online slots and table games in their impressive library, allowing them to push for a spot to be in and among the top casino slot sites. Meanwhile, the sportsbook offers prospective punters the chance to wet their feet in the world of sports betting in the shape of single-game betting and parlays.
The move comes as Ontario prepares to regulate online casino platforms in the coming months, with RSI hoping to capitalise by entering the market early before offering members the chance to play for real money once they are granted a license from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO).
Richard Schwartz, Chief Executive Officer of RSI, was bullish about the move, stating: "Our expansion into Canada represents an exciting new frontier for RSI and continues our growth across the Americas.
"CASINO4FUN® offers our community of players the same high level of entertainment and customer service of RSI’s real-money gaming platform, delivered in a casual and free-to-play setting. We look forward to providing a truly differentiated gaming experience for players in Ontario that is focused on fostering player trust and enjoyment."
The AGCO, or more specifically their subsidiary called iGaming Ontario, will be in charge of reviewing and regulating online casino operators for Ontario later this year.
